Frank Borden, retired LAFD Assistant Chief and “father” of Community Emergency Response Team, will tell you about CERT, how it got started in Los Angeles, and spread to the rest of our Nation. Video

Dr. Jill Barnes, Ph.D., Office of Emergency Services, School Operations, on how LAUSD schools prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters. Video

Eric Boldt, Warning Coordination Meteorologist at National Weather Service in Oxnard, will cover severe weather and how you can prepare for adverse impacts. Video

Tanya Yarbrough will guide you through a session on Pet Prepared-ness and how to get your pet(s) trained and ready for a quick evacuation. Video

Dan Tomlinson, ACS Battalion 10 Communications Coordinator, will demonstrate and explain how to use any two-way radio to communicate effectively, efficiently, and succinctly in a disaster or emergency situation. Video

Bloodmobile

Cedars-Sinai Bloodmobile will be at the Fair from 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Give the gift of life at the Fair! Donors may enter the Fairgrounds starting at 9:00 a.m. and proceed directly to donor screening.
